Our team – a diverse group of individuals united by faith and a shared vision – is committed to making this vision a reality.

Ray Barker (President)

As a young boy, I experienced firsthand what hate looks and feels like; I was chased by three members of the Ku Klux Klan, which had a profound impact on my life. As a former Marine and a retired police officer, I've also seen love in action and felt its warmth. Now, as a mature adult, I choose to embrace the strength of love and unity. I am here to affirm that all lives matter—not just in America, but across the globe. Given the many factors that divide us, I hope and dream that the organization "God Lives Matter America 🇺🇸" will champion love and unity for all.

 Vanessa Simagan (Secretary)

For me, God's Lives Matter. Today marks a progression towards greater responsibility. I identify not just as a Christian but as a disciple of Jesus Christ, or by any of the countless names He is called around the world. This is my belief and the foundation upon which I choose to live my life. There is no monetary value that can compare to the precious gift of life bestowed upon us by God. It is my privilege and honor to serve humanity with love, empathy, and care, just as Jesus Christ demonstrated in His teachings (John 13:34-35). I strive to live a life that pleases God by serving “ALL” of humankind, emphasizing the importance of love, compassion, sacrifice, patience, understanding, and kindness. I hold myself accountable to others, fulfilling the command of Jesus Christ and honoring His death and resurrection until His return (Luke 19:13). I have made the decision to step up my responsibility to be a better doer of service to all humanity with God's Lives Matter America Today. (Roman 12:1-2

As a millennial born and raised in the vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky, I've watched my city and community changed in vast ways. My formative years were spent in West Louisville, where I still reside. I graduated from Louisville Male High School, where both my academic and leadership skills were honed. Eager to pursue higher education, I enrolled at the University of Louisville, and earned a degree in History. My time at the university was marked by a passion for learning and an eagerness to apply his knowledge to the real world. Following graduation, I entered the workforce with a blue-collar spirit, dedicating the next decade to a demanding job that required hard work and perseverance. My commitment and diligence have earned me respect among peers, for my reliability and ability to tackle challenges head-on. Outside of professional pursuits, I am an avid supporter of my local community. Actively participating in community service initiatives and strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him. This is what lead me to GLMA, I believe in the value of people and the community and that is something that GLMA stands for.

Every day, I rise with a mindset of positivity, intentionally releasing any negativity. I embrace joy and gratitude as my guiding principles. I remind myself that I deserve love and happiness, and I see challenges as valuable opportunities for growth. Abundance and success come naturally to me because I attract them. I exude confidence and positivity, with a clear mind and an open heart. I am surrounded by a nurturing community of supportive individuals who uplift me. As I trust the journey of my life, I take time to celebrate all my achievements, no matter how small. I am resilient and fully capable of overcoming any obstacle that comes my way. I focus on solutions instead of problems

As a baby boomer, I grew up in an America that was still figuring itself out. My Parents and Grandparent talked about equality, but the reality for those who looked like us– was far from it!

Growing up as a descendant of American slaves in a world obsessed with color, I had to fight for my place at every turn. It wasn't easy, but it taught me the value of resilience, hard work, and faith. It's that faith in the inherent value of every life, instilled in me from a young age, that fuels our mission today.

Serving in the US Army opened my eyes to the diversity and vastness of our nation. Then going back home, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by my community, the struggles to overcome historical injustices, and just as well, the incredible potential that exists when we unite under a common purpose.

My journey as a surgical technologist, reaching the rank of senior non-commissioned officer, further solidified my belief in the power of service and the importance of empowering others.

I joined GLMA, because I am called to contribute, to build a better future for my nation, my community and generations to come, "where every human being has infinite value!"
